Professional Fisherman Goes Ice Fishing and Instead of Fishes He Catches a Friendly Black Cat Who Won't Leave His Shoulders

To quote the classic Rolling Stones song, "You don't always get what you want… But if you try sometimes, you just mind find, you get what you need!" This is the case sometimes with the "cat distribution system." If you haven't heard about that yet, then you aren't on the cute cat side of the internet and we are so sorry about that. Please, come join us over here—it's much more peaceful. The cat distribution system is what cat people on the internet calls it when a cat just waltzing into your life. Whether you were seeking a pet cat or not, you've got one now. The universe decided it was time and the cat said, "that hooman is purrfect for me" and BOOM—you now have a fact. And it's very bad luck to deny the universe. 

 

In the case of this little black void of a feline friend, the hooman in question was a fisherman. He was out ice fishing—since it is that time of the year—and in the middle of nowhere. He found a "dinky little lake" in the "middle of nowhere" and was ready to catch some fish. Before he was even finished setting up, a cat came running up to him on the ice.

    He claims he's "not a cat person," but this kitty was immediately obsessed with him. He kept trying to keep the kitty calm on his lap or curled up somewhere warm, but nope. The cat wasn't having it. The cat wanted to exist on his shoulders, probably so he could make sure he was doing the fishing correctly. (Since all cats are fishing experts.)
